Where does your chocolate come from?
We are extremely proud and excited to source our chocolate from a small and sustainable company based in Colombia. Not only do they make some of the best chocolate in the world, but they have wonderful and conscious values. These are the things that are important to us.
If I order chocolate will it melt?
No! We use special packaging when we ship our orders to warm places, and while there is never a 100% guarantee that it won't melt (due to so many variable conditions), we are confident that your order will arrive in great shape.
Is this a family business?
Yes! We are a small family owned and operated business.
Why are your chocolates better?
Good question! Our creations are superior to most for a couple of reason. Reason #1 is the chocolate we use. We didn't pick our chocolate based on cost, we picked it based on QUALITY. Reason #2 is because it's not made in a factory. Master Chocolatiers, Kevin and Laura, hand craft every single truffle and chocolate covered almond that has Bijou's name on it. Kevin and Laura have decades of experience including years of traditional Swiss apprenticeship training. We'll leave it at that!
Vegan and gluten free?
Yes and no! While chocolate is indeed free of gluten, we do process wheat in our facility, so we can make no guarantees. While not every product we make is vegan, we do have a nice selection of naturally vegan products. Take our dark chocolate bars for example, and our chocolate covered cacao nibs. Don't forget the marzipan and Italian chocolate covered orange peels! We'll let you know on the product page if it qualifies or not.
